For those of you who (like me) keep missing the all-star pit crew challenge it will be on the wednesday prior to the All-Star Race which will be 5/18/2011 on SPEED Network (check your local listing for channel number) at Time Warner Cable Arena in Charlotte, N.C..
The winner will get to be the first to choose a pit box for the all-star race on the following saturday night 5/21/2011

The most points a driver can get after a race depends on where the driver finishes. are as follows,
it goes by a declining points system

41 points to 3rd place
keeps declining until the 43rd driver gets only 1 point
